The DVD isn’t great for this film.
I would recommend buying the Kino Lorber version.
But, with a little work using MakeMKV to back it up onto a PC
and upscaling the image to 1280×720 in Handbrake using the MP4 codec at 14
along with high quality and 4.1 depth it’ll be in much better shape.
I’m always surprised how this works.
Otherwise, Topaz Labs has a software called Video Enhance AI which creates the most amazing upscaling effect I’ve ever seen as a graphic artist.
It costs money but with it you’ll save your old movies from being thrown away.
